Julie Roper runs Festival for Cancer
Julie Roper, our Senior Operations Manager for the North, hosted her 10th Annual Stage Dancing Festival – ‘Rodale’. (The ‘Ro’ taken from her surname, and ‘Dale’ from the co-host, Angela Dale).
The Festival took place on 4th, 5th, 11th & 12th October, in Rothwell, Leeds and, as well as the competition itself, also raised money for Cancer Research (over £2,000).
The festival runs a heat of Miss Dance of Great Britain with the winner going forward to compete in the Grand Final in Blackpool in June 2009.
This is the last year that Julie and her friend Angela will host the event but, luckily, a local dancing school has agreed to take it over, even keeping the RODALE name!
